It's talharpa time

I watched a couple and liked them very much. Traditional songs and instruments combined with new tech, the sound fun and they look like they are having fun making the videos. I didn't have enough patience for the interview though... can someone explain why the University of Pennsylvania calls them a "zombie" folk band?

Yeah, they're sorta riffing on reviving the talharpa as a sort of zombie instrument. A friend saw them a few weeks ago when they came through town (which is how I got turned on to them), and they said something to that effect at that show as well.

Very cool. I've been listening to Finnish folk music; it's good to have an excuse to listen to their neighbors too (they have a rather similar baseline sound, which is not that surprising).
