I loved every word of this. It is the ideal of what all comedy should be. (But I suppose I should point out that this article is actually by Jeff Maurer. "(For the lawyers: This was a bit. Ethan Coen had nothing to do with it.)" as he writes at the the end!)

Getting real still-sore-about-not-getting-the-lower-bunk vibes off this one.

Man this was so much funnier while I still thought Ethan Coen had actually written it. Funniest, pettiest, most tongue-in cheek prank on your brother ever! And I thought it might actually be true because the piece is so carefully not shitting on anybody Ethan Coen isn't (or might not be) personally close with...
Still hilarious though! I'm glad I read it.

I think the unnamed "family member" who received the Lite Brite may have been Ethan Coen himself.

I would love to see the real Ethan Coen’s face while he reads this.

Omg that was hysterical. It's a good takedown. And thorough.
(ETA only just saw that it wasn't actually written by Ethan Coen. Okay, not quite as fantastic. But still fantastic)

Obligatory Dude.
(Aside: love the framing on the shot, Donny peering through the window formed by the Dude's bent arm, Walter with the two bowling balls in the background forming Mickey Mouse ears.)

Seconding the cackling . . . and hoping against hope, the first read, that it was actually Ethan . . . Needed just that; thanks fizban!

I didn't think "The One Where She Shits In A Bucket" was Frances McDormand's finest work either.
