A Return to Possibility

While reading Hal Erickson's entertainingly-written encyclopedia of television cartoon shows, I discovered an entry about a show I'd never heard of, the 1992-1993 single-season American-South-Korean series Twinkle the Dream Being, co-created by the people behind Denver the Last Dinosaur and Widget the World Watcher. Looking it up, I discovered that the entire series, save a few clips, was considered lost until two months ago, when the whole thing was uploaded to YouTube.

This post triggered in me what turned out to be a false memory about a long-gone but surprisingly good Denver the Last Dinosaur breakfast cereal. Looks like I was thinking of a contemporaneous dino-product, Dinersaurs.

Thank you for this post! It's exactly my jam.

This whole thing seems like a mockup of a cartoon that appeared at that time, made for some video game or SCP entry. If that were true, it would have veins of analog horror running through it to a core of evil, but no. It's just exactly what it is, which, bleh. It is funny, though, to think of some writer on deadline pulling the words "Dream Being" out of his ass and deciding to run with it.

Sort of reminds me of Two Toes, although at least one person really cared about that.
