That was an extremely charming video! Thank you for posting it! I loved when she started laughing at her own joke even before finishing it.

Bublé laughing at an 8 year-old reading out 'tickets just went on sale for your tour' style questions is what I needed today, thanks so much for posting these.

She's so instantly likeable, it's disarming

Love the side eye after he says "I never ever say bad words."

Also, Ryan Stiles is 74.

Ryan Stiles is 63. Or is this some joke I've missed like, "the years don't matter?"

Oh, thank goodness. He says 74 in the interview, but I guess it's a joke?

Oh, thank goodness. He says 74 in the interview, but I guess it's a joke?

I assume it's the old, "I'm 74, do I look 74?" when he's 63 joke, hoping the person will say, "No, you look 64," so he can then tell them he's 63.

Adorable!
Emmy says her dad interviewed people. Is her dad, like, a local news person?

Also, “Emmy Wins Emmy” is a headline I’d love to see.

Millennials "guys isn't gender neutral". Neural pathways of everyone under twenty as they learn what language is: "Hey guys! Don't forget to like and subscribe!"

"How have you worked with them for 30 years if you're still 24?"

Nothing escapes this one. Adult journalists: take note.

oh, that was delightful.

btw, she's really, really good. right at her age, my kids interviewed a couple of authors for their school in-house TV news show, and while they're bright and pretty sharp, Emmy is light-years better, more engaging, witty, quick on her feet. The "24" thing was impressive, indeed.

So was Stiles' answer, too. :)

In a similar vein, another little kid on YouTube interviews metal and punk performers like Doyle Von Frankenstein.

I know she’s not quite nine and I can’t find the exact quote right now, but Emmy seems like a shining example of Anne Lamott’s observation that there is no one on earth more prepared or capable than a nine-year-old girl.

I was pleased to learn Mr. Stiles is still 24. Tough interview, but he handled the questions well.

I would totally go to a potato bar.

Amazing I can go from not even conceptualizing a thing to really yearning for it in about nine seconds.

Gen X tried *really hard* to make guys a gender neutral word and while our new genderfluid reality is one of the few things I actually like about living in the future, I have trouble letting that go. Why should guys just be for dudebros? [sigh].

She's great and Stiles did a good job targeting the eight-almost-nine sense of humour.

Are you kidding?? I laughed at the rubber-toe joke, and I'm an Old!

I would totally go to a potato bar.

Not everything about the 80s, or about shopping malls, was terrible.

What a charming interaction. Emmy is delightful, and Stiles pitched his response beautifully so she had lots of space to shine.

Ryan Stiles gives off fun grampaw energy. He’s taking you seriously, but he’s just waiting to crack you up.

He's given off that energy for at least the last 20 years! :D

... are baked potato bars still not a thing? Granted, I haven't been to the sort of steak-and-salad bar type chain restaurant that used to have them since before the turn of the century.

I remember living in Salt Lake City in the late 70s and you could go to a baked potato bar in the strip mall and order a nearly-football-sized baked potato with your choice of 20 or so different toppings. Why this isn't as common today as coffee shops, I have no idea.

I was shocked enough to learn that he’s 63. I mean, I can do the math, but I was not prepared.

And 2nd person plural, which English doesn't distinguish from 2nd person singular.

I think the answer is: Potatoes are a carbohydrate.

Baked Potato Bars or Baked Potato as your choice of restaurant side was never my first choice but I ran into one of these getting lunch 4-5 years ago when skiing and it was delightful. They kept the foil wrapped potatoes in like a cast iron oven/warming tray and there was a salad-bar-esque array of toppings available. It was very nice.

Dateline: The Far Future, Geneva, Switzerland

By colliding two opposing streams of genderfluid at high speed, particle physicists have observed a new state of matter they have dubbed "genderplasma, it's like genderfluid, but incredibly hotter," so hot, that the bonds in language that hold together gender binaries would strain and break. "Gen X tried *really hard* to make guys a gender neutral word, but they didn't succeed, and some of us scientists are so preoccupied with whether or not we could."
