The Mary Wallopers are the best new(ish) band I've run across in ages, and if you like the wildest and rudest kind of Irish folk music, there's a good chance you'll love them too. Yes, great band! I've been obsessed with their version of Cod Liver Oil for weeks now. Their tenor banjo player is really phenomenal.

They're on tour!
I've got tickets for one (and maybe two) of their English gigs next month. If they're as good live as I think they might be, I'm in for a treat!

I saw the bhoys play The Night The Guards Raided Owneys when Blindboy had them on as guests in Drogheda earlier this year.
And the deal was done. Such a great song.
