Flappy Birdle Yes, this is a Wordle and Flappy Bird clone, which acts as you expect (one flap per letter).

The pipes don't seem to do anything. So it's just don't run out of time, and don't run out of guesses. You can't backspace, but you also don't need to use real words.

It seems to default to "easy mode" where the pipes don't have collision; if you toggle the slider in the corner on and off it will switch to hard mode.

I expected to hate this, and I did. But it grew on me. You do not have to use real words and there is no guess limit. You just put in letters, slowly, one every other second or so. It becomes oddly rhythmic and calming. YMMV.

I hated this way more than I thought I would, but not for any of the reasons I thought I would.

I assumed it would make me angry because I couldn’t keep the bird from crashing (aka the main reason I hate flappy bird). But in easy mode that wasn’t even an issue. But not being able to backspace when you typed a wrong letter was awful - and then having it accept words like librd as just fine because that’s what I accidentally typed in a hurry - that’s just rage-inducing.

This is a pretty-good mashup, but I think it mostly points at the obvious next step. Flappy Bird was tough, but anyone could get the hang of it in a minute or two. If we're going to write anxiety-spiking game mashups, we need to pair something contemplative and relaxing with a game known for being notoriously hair-trigger and having an insane learning curve.

I propose we split into two teams: Team QWO(P)rdle, and Team Sudoku Souls.

Once I realized I didn't have to worry about hitting pipes or using real words or solve any of the puzzles it got fairly easy. Just type in a letter every couple of seconds to survive and see if I can solve the wordle. I was able to get a couple and I'm not entirely sure how I died in my last game, the bird just kind of dive bombed even though I was close to solving the wordle, but it isn't something I plan on playing again.
