“You're all corrupt, you're all depraved...”

Einstein a Go-Go (alternative link) was a 1981 UK #5 song by Landscape (formed in 1975). A live performance, some background in this post and comments, and a 1979 feature on Tomorrows World. The extended mix. Also by Landscape: (My name is) Norman Bates.

Am I the only one to see a genetic connection with Thomas Dolby's 1982 hit She Blinded Me with Science? Which interestingly, did much better in the States and Canada than the UK ...

That is *very* 80s. Possibly into “none more 80s” territory.

long time fan of that Landscape album. In fact, I just played the nicely chill title track the other night.

You better watch out you better beware
Albert said that E equals M C squared

Einstein a go go
Einstein a go go
Einstein a go go

Bible says we must pay
I am the judge for the judgement day
There'll be no warning no alarm
I'll be the one who's saved

Einstein a go go
Einstein a go go
Einstein a go go

I've got facts I know the truth
You're all corrupt you're all depraved
A few devices around the place
I'll blow you all away

God does not play dice with the world
But things aren't right in the outside world
But still there's vice in the world
I'll put things right

Einstein a go go
Einstein a go go

Bought this when it came out and I thought then, and still think now, that it's let down by the very weak vocals. The rest of the music was terrific though.

Thomas Dolby's 1982 hit She Blinded Me with Science

Which was a non-album track that was later included on re-sequenced, remade versions of the album because that song completely overshadowed everything else on the album as far as charting goes.

Wow this is a real nostalgia hit - I think this is the first record my brother and I (then about 9 and 10) bought with our pocket money. We were obsessed with it and probably played it incessantly to the great annoyance of our parents.

I'd forgotten about this ... and yet I hadn't. The "Norman Bates" song has been lodged in my brain for 40 years now.
