Margariforest Cafeville

ICYMI, last year, YouTubers Eddy Burback and Ted Nivision took a road trip. They each issued a report: I ate at every Rainforest Cafe in the Country [Eddy, 36m], I Drove to Every Rainforest Cafe in North America [Ted, 30m]. Well, they've done it again! I ate at every Margaritaville in the Country [Eddy, 58m], I Drove to Every Margaritaville in the USA [Ted, 46m]. Madness comes in many forms, but chain restaurants are often involved.

Aside from these being videos I found amusing to watch, I really appreciated the kind of lesson here, about how doing the same trip with different perspectives, different approaches to video styles, different editing... you can come up with very different narratives.

I'm awaiting Eddy's realization that he could be to Groucho Marx what Hal Holbrook was to Mark Twain.

But the important question remains - did they find their lost shakers of salt?

I've been to The Thing?. I went to The Thing? before these two men were born. The Thing? will outlive us all.

This sort of stunt never fails to make me think of the guy Winter who tried (is trying?) to visit every Starbucks. I remember this because he was complaining about missing a particular one near me when a giant boulder fell on it and it was closed at the time.

My brain reads this without ceasing, unless I really focus, "the guy Winter who died trying to visit every Starbucks".

As someone who lived between some of those Margaritavilles, who had family members who loved some of those Margaritavilles for reasons I could never comprehend: listen, Eddy, Ted. Great videos. I am here for taking the piss out of silly theme restaurants.

But fellas. Guys. My dudes. Biloxi. I know what it looks like on paper. But did you seriously not have a single conversation with anyone while you were staying there? It is Bih-LUHK-si. Put a schwa in there if you're kinky. But please, please stop with the Bih-LAHK-si. It hurts my heart. And I know you know that "uh" sound, because you somehow both inexplicably manage to make it the last sound in the "Panama" of Panama City Beach.

Absolutely delighted to see Ted featured here on the Blue (and Eddy as well, but I'm really more of a Ted fan).

Why would anyone do this to themselves? YouTube must be nationalized and the videos deleted, for the good of both the nation and the world.

I keep wondering if another one is even possible. I can't think of another chain that hits that perfect kitsch appeal but also has a manageable amount of locations to visit.

I love this kind of stunt and watched this within an hour of it dropping on YouTube. I want MOAR

There are 211 Cheesecake Factory locations in the U.S. Not an easy ask. The combo of locations and kitsch is hard!
