I would like to make all of these, but the rosemary leaf "stem" on the gnocchi is the best thing ever.

Avocados don't strike me as conspicuous consumption, really. I get 'em for $0.50 at Aldi. The only part of them that feels really bourgeois is the delayed gratification of waiting for them to ripen on your counter.

It's not the avocados that are conspicuous consumption, it's paying $13 (or whatever) for Avocado Toast at the cafe. Following a page of recipes and making cute food at home is hardly frittering away your savings, unless you're making elaborate caviar scultpures.
