Rare recording of mysterious night parrot captured, described as holy grail of ornithology. Aboriginal rangers manage to record the song of the extremely secretive night parrot in a remote part of Western Australia.

I was pulled in by the related story that night parrots can’t see well in the dark, which made me wonder why they were nocturnal….

GenjiandProust, they live in the Gibson Desert, I suspect it's Just Too Hot To Move during daylight hours.
