Country life in Azerbaijan

Sheep, dogs, birds, and CATS...Oh, and chickens! A rural home, a baking session, and lots of critters. Bonus, no voice, some sublime background music.

I have watched quite a few of these. They are very mediative and I especially appreciate the absence of any talking. And the couple work really hard at what they do too. Great photography as well.

Pretty great. I wonder how different the reality is opposed to the beautiful images projected of this life.

I follow a similar one in Iran - Kend Isleri / Village Affairs - 'Astara city based in Iran-Azerbaijan border villages'.

Nice to see another side of the world. Can sometimes get a little meaty for this vegetarian though.

Are you surprised that an oil-and-gas-rich country aligned-with, and financially supported by Vladimir Putin would allow their citizens a nearly-modern lifestyle?

No. Rereading my comment I can see my intent was not.arriculated.

I was wondering about the reality of an idyllic agrarian life. It looks pretty peaceful and chill, I suspect the reality is quite different.

We've been watching these for a while now, they are on the soothing-relax-chill, massive amounts of food production spectrum, with frequent bonus of some kind of cooking apparatus being built. No voiceover, no music, often no ingredient subtitles; I'm not watching them to learn how to make this dish although sometimes there are really interesting techniques. And the DIY building is a bonus, since I'm hoping to build some kind of outdoor oven grill thingy at some point; they've built many things. Even the "picnic" videos have them building or assembling some kind of cooking station.
Somewhere I thought I read that the person making these videos was visiting parents when Covid hit, and decided to film mostly mum cooking prodigious amounts of food for friends and family. There's definitely a country house, puttering in the yard feeling. But yes, like Keith Talent, I wonder about the bigger picture. Still, I'm pleased to see the doggies and the turkey and so forth.

Mom knows how to handle an axe. And she made enough chicken pastries to feed an army. Loved the brightly decorated pottery and fabrics. And of course the star of the show is the bird. Appears to be some sort of corvidae. All very pastoral...

You can see the surrounding neighborhood sometimes. It seems to be a fairly nice area. I think there is a real chance that this is low-level state propaganda. A living museum of the idealized past, etc.

WTF is with the bird in the kitchen??!

We have loved watching these. My takeaways are 1. The woman is incredibly strong 2. I dig her fashion sense -multiple floral print layers and kerchiefs are apparently my jam 3. I also want a pet magpie

I had not seen these before and am extremely charmed. What a beautiful kitchen.

I've seen a couple of these before, and I enjoy the fact that they have like 20 to 30 million views.
