Large old trees are vital for Australian birds. Their long branches and hollows can’t be replaced by saplings.

And when they are deemed too dangerous to leave standing, ok, fine, cut them down if you have to, but then leave the felled trees in place if possible. I see trees in parkland/woodland nearby cut down and carted away, leaving nothing for other plants and animals that depend on those decaying trunks.
