As an Arizonan, I am so glad we are no longer a bright red state. I am so proud of how so many of our recent state-wide elections have gone. And yet, at the same time, I am apprehensive as all hell about now being a key swing state.

Arizona is one of the most urban states in America (89.3%). The surrounding desert forces the population into urban centers. Vermont, liberal, is the most rural.

So the Arizona Supreme Court just decided that the Dobbs decision means an 1860s law will be in effect and enact a near total ban on abortion.

I really really hate to nitpick this article in its sixth sentence, but there is no "border wall" on the Colorado River in Arizona. There is no border river in Arizona. The Colorado River in Arizona run through the Grand Canyon.

Literally the only what? 20 miles? where such a thing might occur in the entire state? A bit ridiculous the way the article tries to compare the Yuma border crossing with the thousands of miles of Rio Grande border.

Anyway it is a good article and I'm glad I read it. Kari Lake is doing a weird reality warp attempt that's been reported on for a while, but it was nice to get the contrasting campaign. I've heard decent things about Gallego.
