Hi! My name is...what? MeFi's own RJ Reynolds has posted a snippet from his hard-hitting documentary about bloggers. Features heartfelt treatises on the worth of self-publication from unknown bloggers around the world.
Or not.
It's comedy, folks.
Was that what it was? I figured I was missing something.
The humor perhaps.

most bloggers ought only speak of their navels, since no one cares about anything else about them.

Are you channeling The Comic Book Guy? Why attack a free bit of entertainment somebody made and somebody else offered to you at no cost, especially when you know for a fact the author will be reading what you say? I just don't get it.

That was pretty funny. Cruel, but funny.

filchyboy: It was comedy because it was not a documentary. That was the set-up for the joke.
I didn't think this was extra-ordinary, but there were some really funny bits. At its best moments it was uncomfortably funny. At its worst, it was just by-the-numbers reference dropping, but the references still were spot-on.
I'd like to see a longer version with more of a documentary feel to it, and some drama between the characters. A mockumentary about a blog gathering, maybe?

Comedy perhaps. Documentary, BULLSHIT!
Damn, that's the reaction I've been wanting all along!
Back to the drawing board...
