Oh my. Is this performance art? A political statement? An in your face variation on cosplay? Meet the very not-safe-for-work Rati. Is this a contemporary nod to tradition? Does it rise to the same level as another popular theme in art? Weigh in on Rati!

It must be hard to live one's life as a huge sex organ.
Perhaps Rati could learn to move beyond her gender obsessions and into the realm of the transpersonal.

Perhaps this "spokesmodel" who works for the San Francisco Department of Public Health could engage in a monologue with Rati, and offer a little sage advice on dealing with life as a costume-sized representation of a sex organ.
Trouble is, that even though for many months he and his sidekick walked the city streets and appeared all over town in huge posters bus stop benches around the city, he's probably NSFW...well, that is if you go by the fact that the poor stiff has been hurled back into the closet due to Viacom taking exception to their visage appearing in their advertising spaces.
However, I'll just bet Rati doesn't hold it against him.

They left out the scene where Rati was paid for her modeling work - in one of those enormous novelty-size checks.
No, really, I uh... can't think of many positive things to say about this, but the whole thing was worth sitting through to get to that guestbook at the end. Did Rati herself write all those, or were they all translated from another language, or what?

Haha, your links truly amused me Dunvegan, thanks for posting...they made me laugh out loud, which was part of my intent or hope with this post. My, we have had a serious, weighty, troubled day here on the blue and the grey!
I would like to have been a fly in the Viacom boardroom when the discussion to closet the giant genital was made. ("Dick the dick, but the Sore can stay"). I must say I've had some really bad jobs in my day, but at least I never was a Sore. Imagine that on your resume.
soyjoy, Rati's creator is Hong Kong artist Phoebe Mann so that might account for the language. She's done some other art projects too.
