Terminus1525.ca is a Canadian art community funded by the Canada Council for the Arts. Of course, you don't have to be Canadian to sign up. It's a neat place to show off your own art, be it political, urban, or just strange. If nothing else, their live Graffiti Wall is cool.

This is an amazing, wonderful wonderful wonderful project. I, too, was considering making a post about it. Not to be missed is the outstanding Internet Resource Card for Artists [PDF] - a list of links and resources for different sorts of artists (including associations, awards, training, and much more), which has been collected (most importantly) with a distinct editorial voice. It's useful, and not just fluff.

Terminus is doing a whole bunch of real-life projects too: grafitti tours in Montreal, beat-boxing workshops in Halifax, gallery displays in Vancouver. They've run several contests for artists to submit proposals for Terminus1525 promotional material (stickers, notebooks, magnets, etc.), and the winners not only see their work reproduced, but receive the same sort of commission professional artists would.

Oh, and for the record, though the Canada Council is a partner, Terminus1525 is funded principally by the Department of Canadian Heritage.
