Anarchist Twelve Traditions of Alcoholic Anonymous. "Over the course of this short text the author shows beyond any reasonable doubt that Bill Wilson, the sainted pioneer of Alcoholics Anonymous, was a semi-closeted fan of Peter Kropotkin, the all-but-forgotten anarchist-communist writer and revolutionary."

so long as he wasn't a commie lover...now I don't have to give up myh meetings, where, like all good anarchists, I can be told that I must give myself over to a higher power because I am a fuck-up. Pass the coffee and donuts and a few smokes, please.

Page 3 of "Attitudes of Animals in Motion" is like the 1881 version of "The Matrix".

My comment came to the wrong thread somehow (it was meant for the previous). I'm not sure how I managed that. Please delete .

Remember, it works if you work it. Oh yeah, and you are worth it. AA rocks, it's not in trouble at all, just like Linux, you can't kill something that can't be owned.

I don't think the author is going off on AA at all, matter of fact, he seems to be in the organization. His main point seems to be that the organization was built using anarchist principles to some degree. Seems neither good nor bad to me really, though if true AA is perhaps the oldest and most successful anarchist type group there is.

So it's not just a coincidence that Jack's story in Fight Club begins in 12-step meetings? Now there's some food for thought...
