Too bad there isn't an anark plugin for anything that isn't IE.

Pretty, but needs work.

The west coast of Alaska is a mirror image of the east coast of Russia.

Venus lacks an atmosphere.

Distant stars are brighter when seen through Saturn's rings.

I had some trouble navigating.

I suspect this solar system app was made by artists and programmers and not astronomers, as a demonstration of the anark multimedia programming tool.

But most MeFites have that plug-in... Oh, 'anark'? I thought it was 'snark'. Nevermind.

Majick, are you sure about that? Mac OS X 10.3.1, Safari 1.1 here, and Anark installed quite easily.

Very refreshing for the spatially challenged like me - thanks, crunchie.

P.S. Safari OS X 10.2 here; easy install.

I remember that day, all those years ago, when my father told me that his one great accomplishment was writing a subroutine in the VRML standard library.

He also told me that the fall of the Berlin Wall was likely going to be the most significant historical event I would be alive for, so I suppose he could have been wrong on that one, too.

Too bad the auto-install page rendered as a huge page of chinese characters.
