40-year-old candy. Yum!

Actually, this post reminded me once again of something I think about from time to time: whatever happened to Bonomo's Turkish Taffy? It turns out (I learn, thanks to Google) that Mr. Bonomo lived to be 100, but his taffy (thanks to Tootsie Roll) was killed off in 1989.

I now wouldn't eat most of the stuff I gobbled up as a kid, but it sure would be fun to smash some taffy on the street.
