Sometimes there is nothing better than a good bowl of rice: white, brown, doesn't matter. Add a little butter or soy sauce and you're set to go. Let's hear your testimony on a favorite rice dish.

Look, it is clear that Metafilter does not do starchy grains well. People come here for bulgur sometimes, corn, millet, because that's what mathowie wants us to do! But to constantly post about rice? Shameful, shabby, sorry. Pathetic.

Can we stop with the HateRiceFilter posts that are a blight on the front page daily?

I mean, rice is good. It's bland. It doesn't upset My Politics. It doesn't criticize My Leader. It doesn't constitute a threat to the status quo. I'm tired of seeing all these RiceHate posts. MetaFilter is going to Atkins-diet hell.

And I don't wanna see any more single-source op-eds, either. Unless they're about rice.
