This Starbucks Doubleshot commercial ran over my dog. I object to it being posted because I lack the willpower to withstand its brilliant mind-control powers that has flooded our mental environment.
I thought it was great, I haven't seen it, and Ant, I can guarantee you that "they" didn't pay to have it posted. Thanks Kirkaracha! posted by icetaco at 12:22 PM on July 2, 2004

So does this mean we are supposed to post "Glen! Glen!Glen!" in lieu of "Pepsi BlueTM" from now on? posted by shoepal at 12:54 PM on July 2, 2004

Also in other news, I've heard Pepsi is working on a "mid-carb" soda. posted by cohappy at 12:57 PM on July 2, 2004

But seriously, guys...no one told me that the members of Survivor were still alive! posted by ChrisTN at 1:19 PM on July 2, 2004
The singer is actually not the original singer of Survivor. That guy is presently recording the "Real Men of Genius" ads for Bud Light. posted by britain at 1:31 PM on July 2, 2004
Since the movie's on CollegeHumor.com, I thought it was a parody. posted by kirkaracha at 1:37 PM on July 2, 2004
Who are these ladies such that they would be impressed by my piercing knowledge of the QSR industries latest developments? Please help me find them, dear Ynoxas, as I have many more intriguing tales of heartbreak, sorrow, and epic adventure to enliven their already rotund figures. posted by cohappy at 5:11 PM on July 2, 2004
Is Starbucks something I would have to own a TV to know about?
/not fark posted by Voivod at 7:54 PM on July 2, 2004
I dunno, I think it's pretty damn funny. And the only times I've consumed Starbucks products in the last five years have been when they're freebies at conferences. (Oh, well, there were those two dates...) (And man, their coffee does suck...)
Also, the "Real Men Of Genius"/"Real American Heroes" campaign? F*cking brilliant. I have about a hundred of them, and sometimes I just cue them up and listen straight through. In fact, I was thinking of burning a bunch to CD and taking them to a barbecue tomorrow. "Mister thong bikini wear-er!!!!!"
And no, I don't drink Budweiser, either. Gimme a Yeung! posted by lodurr at 11:30 AM on July 3, 2004
