Another year, another flu vaccine shortage. Perhaps it just the first salvo of 2004's media Flu Frenzy! I think this winter I will retire the the TV, forget about my pharma portfolio and instead light a fire, swig some hot lemon and honey tea, and spice up my life.

Is this an attempt at curtailing the elderly population? Is the Illuminati trying to kick-start a new flu epidemic? Or is it truly just a bureaucracy making the world safer by keeping us sick?

It was just yesterday that NPR said get vaccinated. Today they are saying you should let the elderly, immune impaired, and other "high risk" people get first whack at it.

NPR must be liberal, they keep flip-flopping when the facts change.

This probably means that companies that customarily offer their employees free flu vaccination won't be able to do so.

Yuck. Due to not getting the vaccine last year, I found myself out for a week during the family vacation from hell, and then a full month of post-flu hacking cough. I was sort of hoping to avoid losing a large chunk of my life this winter.

alumshubby -yeah

I guess it's serious this year, or hysteria. Dunno. But normal places (universities, shopping malls) aren't offering shots.

We can build the most advanced military in history to topple foreign governments, but we can't even provide enough flu vaccine for our citizens. Pathetic.
