The RoadKill Kronicles. (not sure whether it's NSFW. It certainly is graphic, tho)

my sister always makes up stories about the roadkill we pass with the car. like "mr hedgehog was on his way home after a long day at work, and now his family is waiting while the dinner gets colder and colder and they wonder where daddy is". then she sheds a tear. she's 33.

anyway, nasty pictures.

How is a bass roadkill? The fish was just walking across the road?

We took a trip this weekend, 770miles round trip. I saw more roadkill this weekend than ever before. A few deer, mostly racoons, opposums, fox and and whole lot of nondescript smears. Maybe it's the fall weather, bringing the poor things onto the roads.

this is quite frankly the reason it scares me that my cat has recently taken to bolting out the front door every time i open it. we live on a busy road, and i take my cats out to walk on a leash. unfortunately up until about a month ago my cat was afraid to go around the front of the house. suddenly he's not so afraid, and i keep worrying he'll get out without me noticing some morning and head for the road.

(especially knowing there are bastards out there who will intentionally try to run over animals. those people should be locked up.)

How is a bass roadkill?

Some friends of mine in NC ran over a fish once.

They were driving behind a dude towing his bass-boat back home, and a fish jumped / was bumped out of the live-well onto the road in front of them. Voila, piscine roadkill.
