See? John Stewart will still have jokes to make when Kerry wins the election. They'll be even better, because they'll be funny in a way that won't make me very, very scared. posted by rafter at 10:15 AM on October 20, 2004
Steve@L that was freaking hilarious, who says Republicans can't be funny posted by fullerine at 10:42 AM on October 20, 2004
On Moore's tour, he is playing some spoofs on Bush campaign ads. The best one is about Max Cleland, and what a traitor and coward he actually is, having not sacrificed that remaining arm in Vietnam.
I would love to see them broadcast, but it seems that these days, your basic Republican of the 21st century is so lacking in critical thinking skills, that she or he would miss the point and think it was a legit Bush ad. posted by Danf at 11:02 AM on October 20, 2004
My favorite part was "http://www.johnkerry.com source for all photos. So if you don't think it's funny, tell them to get better material."
Ba-DUMP-bump!
Seriously, very funny, and not really all that mean-spirited. How rare! posted by logovisual at 11:04 AM on October 20, 2004
That was the kind of funny that crosses lines. Right on.
Hell, I support lying repeatedly about penis size, and hey, if heroin makes our children learn at super blurry speed, then I want the pro-heroin candidate!
Because children are our future, you know. I believe that. posted by chicobangs at 12:22 PM on October 20, 2004
I found the link funny in its own right, but I also like the point made on the site. In other words, it's funny because it's funny and it's funny because it's true. posted by Joey Michaels at 12:34 PM on October 20, 2004
The racist joke one was pretty funny, I did laugh. The CHIPS pic is just terrible though the caption is funny. And I can see the fun in doing stuff like this.
So, I'll offer my counterpoint to the Kerry pics.
George Bush supports a good ear of corn shoved up your backside at least once a week (he doesn't want to brag but he's got two up there now)......And you're next. posted by fenriq at 12:57 PM on October 20, 2004
