Who are you to question Zombie Joseph Beuys?

The University of You Suck! While the newer comics are lacking a certain something, oldschool Cat and Girl should still be ranked among the Best of the Web. Please keep in mind, Cat and Girl are Not For Babies.
I love the art, but that made positively no sense to me.

Is this where the Zombie Firstname Lastname meme on Kuro5hin came from? (examples: 1, 2)

Besides it was posted like 16,000 posts ago back when the the internet was singular and being invented by Gore and black was just black and nothing was the new something.

hm...i think cat&girl is further evidence of the general progression of all things, as described in trainspotting: first you have it, then you lose it, and you never get it back again. have been pretty unimpressed by c&g for the past year or so, but always love to go back to the earliest ones for a good thought-provoking laugh.

My personal favorite was when they were visited by the ghosts of ironic t-shirts past present and future.

A bad "Cat and Girl" comic is about as likely as a good modern "Garfield" strip. Call me when you can do half of what Dorothy does.

(Just FYI, all ire was directed at the person claiming Dorothy has lost her spark. Everyone else go about your business, nothing to see here.)

I've been a big fan for years, but nothing will beat "My other vehicle is a Proust novel."
Mmm...English major humor...

There are tons of bad Cat and Girl comics; the ones where Girl just lectures at you, followed by some attempted undercutting in the last panel by Cat, for instance.

while i agree that there are no truly "bad" cat & girl comics, my only point was that the old ones are much funnier than a lot of the new ones. of course, cat calling boy a sissy is hilarious and that comic is just from three weeks ago.
also, i'm sorry if this was already posted a gajillion years ago, i searched both google and metafilter to be sure before i made a FPP and nothing showed up on either of my searches. i thought for sure it had to be a mistake and part of me is quite glad that it was.
carry on.

I got turned off when she started whining about having to get a job and how it was stifling her creative soul.
Poor baby.
Not that you can't complain about mundane things like your job. But fuck, make it entertaining. Or something.

Bah. That one's good, and anyway, you didn't really read that one if you think it's exclusively about corporate drudgery.

Yes, I am missing the profound message you found so obvious in that comic. And in the one after that. And the one after that.
Three weeks straight of moaning about the indignity of working a job you don't like, because you need the money. And then quitting said job. The life of a hipster is SO hard. Gosh.
I thought it was self-absorbed and whiny, but clearly I must not understand it.
