Back in the 80s, when I was growing up in the Philippines, I remember Ronald McDonald was a cultural icon. My private (buddhist) school actually hired Ronald to come and do magic tricks for the kids assembled in the temple!

Picture this: a red and yellow clown soliciting volunteers for a wand trick in front of a 10-foot-tall golden Buddha...

This comingling of the sacred and profane obviously traumatized her. It's some kind of Stockholm sydrome!

I'm not sure that I get it. Does she work for McDonalds? Or just dress like that? Will she be sued for impersonating Ronald McDonald (tm)?
