Utne is a great magazine and anyone should be proud to be nominated for this award.

Too cool- our own hometown revolutionaires at Asheville Global Report were nominated, as well as a magazine I just got a lil sumpin published in. Great post.

Hee, I love the Utne. I think I've still got all of the first few years, back before Eric and crew had lined up many advertisers, and every issue was sort of "will we make it?". They were then, and are now, an astoundingly good source of materials from across the publishing sphere. (Albeit, granted, with a fairly leftist, environmental cast.)
