Simpsons Music

All the music from the Simpsons collected on one handy dandy page. What more needs to be said? All the songs performed on the Simpsons since season 1, categorized by character. Some of my personal favorites: Happy Birthday Lisa by Michael Jackson/asylum inmate, Cletus, the slack-jawed yokel and See my Vest by Montgomery Burns. Please say a prayer for the bandwidth hosting bill.

say a prayer for the copywrite infringement lawyer... much of this music is commercially available on Simpsons soundtrack albums, isn't it?

Aye, the various and many Simpsons albums cover most of these. Like the massive Calvin and Hobbes galleries of a few weeks ago, these are nice but highly illegal. Here's come the C&D smackdown!

Thanks Jeremias.

Altogether now:

"Some folks'll never lose a toe
But then again some folks'll
Like Cletus, the slack-jawed yokel"

"Come on, everybody, have sexual congress / Not the kind of congress that contains Paul Tsongas"

This is the apex of art in our times -- so where the hell is it?

Even better:

"Some folk'll never eat a skunk
but then again some folk'll
like Cletus, the slack-jawed yokel"

This is great! But why is it impossible to find the, "I'm shavin' my shoooooulderrrrs...I'm gettin' it allllll shaved off...." song?

What's worse? That people think I'm crazy because most don't remember that one...

Since it was on the air a year or two ago, I haven't been able to stop singing "I'm Henry VIII", from that episode where Marge reads the kids stories about historical figures. "...my name's synonymous with gluttony, I'll always eat a turkey or a ham..."

I just realized that the shorter clips would make some awesome ring tones. I know what I'm doing this afternoon...

But main street is still all cracked and broken.

Sorry, Marge, the mob has spoken.

The Simpsons is the best TV show ever for comedic songs. Which, of course, isn't that hard of a statement to make...

I believe that a lot of the best songs were from the Conan Obrien years.

They don't have Barry White's song about the snakes from Whacking Day. And didn't Linda Ronstadt also do a Spanish version of the Plow King theme?

If you use FireFox there is a neat extension called DownloadTHEMall which allows one to download all the files on a web page (or you can use the filter function to download specific file extensions). Also handy when scouring free porn sites.

Thank god for this thread. All the posts today where artsy, brainy or informative. Even Linksfilter is dry as a bone, is everyone wearing a tutleneck today?

UNACCEPTABLE.

The cable is out and only CSPAN2 Book Tv is the only thing coming through on the antenna. Yes I'd learn something but that's not what Friday afternoons at work are for.

How could I have forgotten Hank Scorpio?!

Scorpio!
His twisted twin obsessions
Are his plot to rule the world
And his employees' health!

He'll welcome you into his lair
Like a nobleman welcomes his guest
With free dental care
and a stock plan that helps you invest

But beware of his generous pensions
Plus three weeks paid vacation each year
And on Fridays the lunchroom
Serves hot dogs and burgers and beer!
He loves German Beer!

Hmm...where do I sign up? Sure beats being a minion of Cobra. Hell, who'm I kidding? It's better than anyplace I've ever worked or ever will...
