Corporate anthems as a musical genre and a marketing tool. There are lots to listen to here, including the Open Source Song.

It's a trap!

Talking about Corporation X's {horrible|wonderful|mediocre} anthem generates brand recognition. The composition of the anthem is irrelevant.

This is insidious spam because it dupes us not only into devoting our attention to it, but also into sharing it with others.
