my mormon dad is forever sending my little gay brother information about how to become straight, because you know... its unnatural and therefore obviously a sin. i hope these cute little cartoons make an impression on him.

It's pretty funny to me that people make the argument that homosexuality is unnatural. The Nazis had the opposite argument, that it was too natural and therefore degenerate. The religious right isn't even as advanced (if you want to call it that) in their line of thinking as the Nazis. Nice work, morans.

Note that this isn't Godwin, since I'm drawing distinctions and not parallels.

The only reason these animals display unnatural gay tendencies is because they have been corrupted by sinful human gay sex molecules.

OK, ten bucks to the first person to find some wingnut Christian seriously proposing something similar to that belief.

Blame Eve. Animals are gay because of the fall.

The religious right is anything but coherent, if you look at their attitude toward science. Anything that doesn't contradict the Word of God is okay, but if it does, it doesn't matter much evidence is behind it. It's heresy!

For more hilarity, check out Bob Jones University's The Christian Teaching of Science and some excerpts from Christian fundamentalist textbooks.
