The New Trailer

The New Trailer for Final Fantasy triggered my drool reflex. The summer of 2001 is when it comes out. The next likely game company to make a movie seems like Blizzard after watching all the mini-movies in Diablo 2.

Diablo would be an interesting movie if done right, or else we could end up with Jean Claude Van Damne in the movie.

Have you seen the movie trailer promo for GTA2? I think that would've made a good music video if not a movie. [With the "Respect is everything" or the "Taxi drivers must die" theme playing in the background.]

Diablo the movie would have to be done completely computer generated, definetely by the Blizzard folks. They've been making astounding in-game movies since Warcraft.

Btw I was talking about it being live motion like the GTA2 trailer/promo

Yeah, I know. I don't think it would be as good if it were live action, which is why I said it would have to be computer generated. :-)

I like doubling thread length by having to explain ourselves! :-)

Diablo II the limited edition came with a DVD containing all the cinematics, it was worth the extra money, too bad the limited edition sold out so fast. (I didn't get it, but a friend of mine did.)

I agree that if Blizzard decides to make any of their games into movies, they should do it themselves, and keep it computer generated. I really don't want to see a live action version of Starcraft (they would probably end up casting Jessica Alba or someone like that as the Queen of blades.)
