I agree the picture compression sucks, but I thought the idea was funny. dailykos posted about 20 minutes after this appeared, so maybe they got it from Mefi.

Fark posters are encouraged to keep their 'shops under 100k to allow 56k peeps to be able to DL the thread.

Oddly, it was this exact Fark thread that introduced me to Fark, back in 2003. Sigh. What a colossal waste of time that has been, and I don't even have an account there.
