Note: NSFW. Video is short and kinda neat. But not MeFi neat. Avoid if you dont have any time.

When this aired, on TV, LAST YEAR, it was somewhat funny.

We can't all afford HBO kosem. I rely on the internet for such hilarity. That said, I think Ali G is hilarious.

Idea? 5 points.
Execution? -10 points.

Well, I guess it wasn't... a terrible post...

I kind of liked it for 10 seconds or so and then it was over. Is there a longer clip?
posted by caddis at 7:12 PM on November 10, 2005

I think this link is pretty clear to what it leads to. So if you saw it and didn't like it, I'm not sure why you clicked on it. I on the otherhand, haven't seen it till recently (dont have HBO) and thought some others might enjoy it.

NSFW? What the hell?

whoops sorry was'nt really clear. If you saw it, (HBO, tv, internet) and didn't like it, then I'm not sure why you would click on it.

Hey, I LOVE Ali G (and only got HBO recently, btw). Just didn't think this is the place to link to a 10 second clip of a year old television program.

More Ali G clips here, here, here (embed), and here.

And really, that's just the beginning.

alright, kosem. I think you and I need to hug this out.

Hell, and here I thought Ali G had been killed in I-rack.

Great point, elemenopee. I was sort of wondering the same thing about the fire&wings comment in the Betraying Jesus thread yesterday. I didn't know that the rule of the internet was that you had to click on every link you saw.

...did I just get called a bitch?

I thought it was funny. Not quite genius material, but when something only takes 30 seconds of my time, I can't really be all that critical.

LHIOB

I thought another HBO reference was somehow appropriate.

NSFW how?

Perhaps NSFW refers to the ads on the page.

The MeFi posting etiquette freaks need to chill a couple of notches.

*Sighs*

I know all about that feeling, caddis.

Sasha should go back to doing Ali G - Borat was just embarrassing hosting the EMAs last week...

Borat WAS pretty embarrassing at the EMAs (though I chuckled when he got stuck on stage during the Foo Fighters), but some of the actual Borat SHOW is GENIUS!

I kinda felt sorry for Dave Grohl (although the Foos are no strangers to humour and comedy) - it all felt so forced. Still, it was worth it just to witness the tightness with which they launched back into the song - them's professionals alright...

WTF? I saw this like 18 months ago. (I am so cool)

Ali G and Borat are so 2002.

Get with the times guys..

(maybe I should post about Naploean Dynamite now...)

Ali G and Borat are so 2002.

Pffft. We were sick of him on this side of the Atlantic by about 1999.

I always thought Borat was the best part
