The lab next door generates tetramers and they use tetramers to HIV as a negative control and to this/last season's flu as a positive control. I gave them some blood to test their tetramers with. Guess what, they told me that I had cells that had specific reactivity to HIV (it's like seropositivity). Luckily it was a totally and completely false positive.

It's kind of interesting to see this done for real instead of being acted. The reaction's sort of predictable, but for all that it's more interesting than seeing it faked on Fresh Prince. And I sort of liked Thad after he started shouting "We've Won, We've Won"

Even without the R.E.M., his come-down was really sad too.

Surely that wouldn't ellicit more than a "splendid, now we can add another annex to the conservatory" from the characters. From what I saw of the series, they were rich as fuck anyway...

SlimePuppy: If you would have bothered to click the link provided by omarr, you would have known that it was Will and Carlton, in a prank-off with the butler, that convinced Geoffrey that he had won the lottery. G proceeded to smash expensive items and quit his job. Also, he told Ashley he would buy her two cars. Then he found out that he hadn't won the lottery and got a job at a restaurant. Will and Carlton had to beg G to come back to his job, and eventually he did.

Didn't click the link because I wanted to avoid becoming sterile by voluntarily watching Fresh Prince in Bel Air (aka Generic American Sitcom Iteration 235698). Pardon my ignorance.

So this isn't the first time Thad's friends have pranked him like this. As he stands in stunned silence, you can see him realizing his friends are jerks, the same friends to whom he referred seconds earlier when he yelled, "We won".

I feel sorry for Thad, especially if this doesn't prompt him to ditch those assholes--which means he doesn't realize he's too good to be hanging around those jerks.

I can't believe I wasted [however long it was] just to watch that. I initially ignored it, but since it was both here and boing-boing I figured there must be something to it, but no, the real joke was on me. It's really surprising how low the bar is these days.
