Help me escape

Flash Friday. Several little amusements which are short enough not to wreck your whole work day (sorry about that). Help the boy, Mr. Zhong and the mouse in their endeavors.

I don't get the interface for the one with the mouse--all I can do it get him to say "I SHOULD FIRST LEAVE HERE."

What can I do, other than access the mouse's inventory? Can I make the mouse move? Are there things onscreen besides the mouse that I can interface with?

Try picking up a surrounding object.

Just another hint you will need in the mouse puzzle: you can combine objects in the inventory by dragging them over each other (if the combination is valid, it holds, else the object you're dragging return to its original position).

I took the mouse's advice to heart and left the page without accomplishing a damned thing.

I can whack the gorilla with the dead alien, but that's about it. I can't get anything to the mouse at all.

a hint for yhbc
check out that thing that's shocking the gorilla ...

Once you figure out how to open the mouse cage you will have to use the objects to get objects and eventually to get those nuts in a jar. That one was tough, but if I could figure it out, anyone reasonably adept at this type of puzzle could.

Woot! I got through all three of the games with the boy. Damn, these are hard. I gave up on the mouse one after I got the balloon to tilt the bookcase. In that game, there's no clue (i.e., hand-pointer) showing you what or where you need to click.

Aha, I finally got the mousie one too.

Nice post, very diverting!

Felt badly about beating the gorilla so moved onto the mouse game. But I wanted to bash the mouse over the head with the dead alien every time it said, "I did not understand" when I did something wrong.

ps: for those stuck on the mouse puzzle, find the paper clip to get the ball rolling.

Okay, I got the mouse the damn nuts.

I still can't do anything except whack the gorilla with the dead alien, though.

yhbc, you can do something else with the dead alien. You'll need to mess with the wiring again...

key to the mouse is combining objects within his stash of stuff. drag them over each other.

i beat the gorilla with a fried frog thingy. i drew on my face and opened a door. i turned into a lizard, a frog, a squiddish thingy, and a fish. and maybe a bumblebee. i don't remember.

i really feel like i've accomplished a lot in the last (gulp) half hour.

but now i'm standing in the middle of a room holding a goldfish bowl, staring at the screen like oliver twist ("please sir, can i have some more?") and shrugging my shoulders whenever that stupid guy moving the mouse around clicks on things.

little help?

macmac, you'll notice there's some broken glass on the floor. Perhaps your goldfish bowl is meant to replace one that was broken...

Finished them. They kick ass.

Damn, I spent some serious time on some of these except for the first one with the boy and the silly ghost ones. However, I just watched a 12 year old boy zip through the three of the boy in less than five minutes total. He had the mouse out of the cage in the first 30 seconds, but it did take him more than fifteen minutes for the whole thing.

aargh. I've got the glove on the string, the inflated balloon holding it all taut...but the mouse doesn't seem to want to do anything further. The other ones were peanuts compared to this...

If you already blew up the balloon with the tube from the pen, then there's still another part of the pen you haven't used yet.

Ah, yes, the...which makes the...and then...

Thanks, commish. Now I can go to sleep without dreaming of a poor starving mouse who just doesn't understand.
