Wow. Mystery solved. I've been making Cow Udder Eclairs for years, and they've always left stuff in my teeth. I'd forgotten to soak them in Nair.

I actually quite like headcheese - would be interested in the moose jaw jelly but moose is pretty strong stuff.

jack_mo, I went to St. John a few years ago on a London trip - had chitterlings, trotters, oxtail, tongue and the worst case of stomach cramps I've ever had. I guess you need to be made of hardy stuff to eat the hardy stuff.
