A List Apart announced the winners

A List Apart announced the winners of their design contest. There were no surprises here, when I first heard about the contest, there was one site that came to mind, and they won the grand prize. I was kind of surprised that I had seen all the award winning sites before in my own travels, but hadn't explored much of them. Especially Eneri.net, I had found it a couple months ago, but couldn't handle the long intros and preloads, it seemed grossly overdesigned and I left after seeing two pages and haven't been back since.

I have to agree with you on the Eneri site...after the long down loads...I bailed after about 2 or 3 pages

A the risk of sounding like a moron: "me too".
The Eneri site does absolutely nothing for me - I get a bigger kick out of the combination of design/programming that makes Metafilter.

I wish there was a list of all the entries - the great thing about these design contests is that you get to see sites you haven't seen before... but not in this case.

There was a bit on the intoduction to the sites that said one got pulled because it didn't change in 6 months.....I have to say it was a bit unfair to do that, and wrote to Jeffrey about it - I mean, do movies, or pictures change if they've been waiting for 6 months to get judged?

Also, was a bit disapointed in the sites that won, though Eneri is lovely to look at it, I also left after a few pages.
Photomontage.com is really nice.
Very happy for Kaliber10000 - one of my favourite sites.

prol, I thought about entering this site, but when the deadline came long ago, this place was getting 20 hits a day, and 2 people were participating (including me).
