The Daily Puppy's Halloween Parade 2006. More dogs in costumes. Cats in costumes. Dogs in bee costumes. Hamsters in costumes.
This was just posted in Projects. I found it a little tough to browse, but there's a lot more pics along these lines...

Wow, the Cerberus costume in the Dogs ♥ Halloween link is fantastic... Although actually I think it's probably Hagrid's dog Fluffy, what with the little Harry Potter walking him.

Love the pit bull as a bee. That dog looks totally dejected.
I'm a total sucker for dogs and cats in halloween costumes.
I also like the ferret in the tux.

I really heart all these photos, esp the cats.
What I like best is that I can now forward this link to my friends and say it is smarter than all the other costume email fwds because it was posted on mefi.
Seriously, no snark. Cute stuff. :)

Those are some unhappy cats, sheesh.
Last time I tried to be nice to a cat and rub its belly it lacerated my arm. I'll bet the owners of those cats in costume may have more realistic Halloweenish effects on their bodies than just simple bonnets.

I always wonder what they've done to the cats to get them to sit still long enough for a photo. I mean, my cats would be twisting and turning and walking low all over the place with things like that on their heads. Dogs are a bit more trainable, but yeesh, cats?

Dressing one's pet in human clothes speaks to a level of pathology just marginally less sad than referring to oneself as the pet's "mommy" or "daddy."

Man, I dunno about y'all...but if I tried to put my dog in a costume, she might eat me. And my cats? Those things with 5 pointy ends? Yeah...not gonna try that. I'd have to sleep sometime.
That said, I did, when my dog was still a teeny puppy, try to convince her to wear reindeer ears for xmas. She ate them.

in the first link especially, the dogs look incredibly unhappy! they've got to have some sense that they're being laughed at...

The Daily Puppy is awesome, if not just for the fact they asked if they could post my puppy Silver there.

What is it about pugs that makes them so hilarious when in costume? Normally I don't like the breed at all, but I can't help but giggle at lobster pug and some of the other pugs in costumes. I mean, seriously.
