Delightful post on Indian advertising.
I love the bizarrely creative and silly Happydent chewing gum teeth sparkle one, totally hilarious.

YouTube was being difficult with me tonight and so I could only see the ads on GoogleVideo. A little bit later I can now see the ones on YouTube, they are amazingly funny and wonderful! The permanent marker one is side-splitting! Only in India could they have fun depicting death, mourning, old traditions, the husband-wife connection and sell a permanent marker, while somehow being uplifting and playful, all at the same time.
Some vintage Indian print ads. And I've always loved the advertising on matchboxes in India.
But I still don't understand how my talking dog post prompted you to this cool one on Indian TV ads. :)

I was trying to make a link to an Indian ad for a telecom company which has a pug in its marketing programme, in your thread, but the video wasn't playing, so thought why not make a post.
Glad you guys liked it:)

Here's the link, if anyone's interested.
Not sure if the video will play for you though.

I think it has something to do with a Brett Lee - Asha Bhosle collaboration album (!!!), but I have yet to follow up on this.
