This site had been following a pair of bald eagles and their two chicks in Maine. The chicks died of exposure during the massive nor'easter that blew through New England last week.
While it is extremely rare for eagles to re-mate in a season, it seems like this pair might be trying again. posted by briank at 12:52 PM on April 26, 2007

Wow, this must be peregrene falcon day -- a peregrene chick hatched this morning in downtown Cleveland (webcam). Still waiting on the other two eggs...
