"a visually overwhelming approach of presenting the most relevant websites ..."
Overwhelming, yes. Most relevant websites? Where's MeFi? (it could be there, I was just visually overwhelmed). posted by scblackman at 7:36 PM on June 12, 2007

You can type out pretty much any URL in half the time it takes to find the link you want in that mess. posted by brain_drain at 7:55 PM on June 12, 2007

When they see me with my logo. posted by Tube at 8:26 PM on June 12, 2007
The funny thing is that just the other day I was wondering if there was a website that could show someone virtually every corporate logo known to man. I meant to go look for just such a site but as I often do, I was distracted by... well, life.
But this FPP not only made me remember that I mean to conduct such a search, but saved me from having to even do the search in the first place! So thanks signal! Nice post! posted by Effigy2000 at 9:28 PM on June 12, 2007

Their slogan is "All My Faves".
Except it doesn't have my favourites. It has their favourites.
If it had my favourites, there would only need to be about 6 or 7 logos. Let's count...Australian ABC, Achewood, Metafilter, del.icio.us, Google, Australian Bureau of Meteorology, Flickr. In which case I might as well put together the world's simplest webpage and make it my start page.
Or shit, use my browser's bookmark toolbar. posted by Jimbob at 11:10 PM on June 12, 2007

Err, you mean people still don't do that?
*looks sheepishly at blue, white and purple plaintext HTML home page loaded with links collected over the years*
Ooo, hey, it's still threat level "Ernie/Bert". *sigh* I probably should delete that link to Mirsky's. posted by loquacious at 11:30 PM on June 12, 2007
Well, I can never seem to make up my mind what my start page should be, and never really got around to doing a comprehensive and useful blue-white-and-purple one. posted by Jimbob at 11:37 PM on June 12, 2007
Is it hopelessly sad that I got a little nostalgic seeing the HotBot logo again for the first time in eight years? Oh... it is?
I have and I like. Thanks to you, also! posted by Effigy2000 at 12:12 AM on June 13, 2007
The banality and lack of originality in web service offerings is what emerges from this project for me. So many logos, so little of interest. Same old same old boring web.
Don't tell these guys about MeFi. Maybe we should be fully logo-less. posted by spitbull at 3:44 AM on June 13, 2007
