That's awesome... nice to see a company that knows how to parlay some grassroots opinion into a win-win solution, rather than kicking out the standard cease & desist. That's the kind of company I'd invest in. posted by rolypolyman at 12:49 PM on June 15, 2007 [1 favorite]

This is one of the most boring things in the world to blog about. "What I had for lunch today". Meh. posted by tadellin at 12:59 PM on June 15, 2007
This Which Wich, it bags? posted by davejay at 1:05 PM on June 15, 2007
an unbattered, unfried Monte Cristo? That... that doesn't make sense. You're getting a club sandwich with jelly at that point, defeating the point of the Monte Cristo.

That's a neat website they have. I like how they show all the info on the front page, but it's just too small to read. OTOH, once you click through to read, the pop-ups are completely superfluous. posted by smackfu at 1:14 PM on June 15, 2007
Recently ate at a Wich Wich for the first time while in Dallas. OMG YES. posted by Pope Guilty at 1:48 PM on June 15, 2007
Woah. Powerful reminder that the bowl of oatmeal I started my day with was a long, long time ago...I'm jonesing for a Reuben. I don't think I'd get one there, though; they apparently don't use rye bread, and it's just not a Reuben on white or whole wheat. posted by pax digita at 2:39 PM on June 15, 2007
WW doing this kinda reeks of a set up....where is the integrity of the blog if they are basically scratching each others back? Maybe I'm just negative... posted by shockingbluamp at 3:33 PM on June 15, 2007

This reminds me of http://greasepig.com/henrys/. A guy decided to eat one of each item on San Francisco's "Henry's Hunan" menu and linked his review to a Hunry's Menu-Look-Alike page. YUM! posted by bottlebrushtree at 6:29 PM on June 15, 2007
I live in Nashville. I had a friend that I no longer speak with that works for this company. Apparently the manager is a huge drug addict. For what it's worth, I would never eat there. posted by lazaruslong at 8:43 PM on June 15, 2007
Just to clarify my previous statement because it sounds like hearsay, I want to say 2 things: 1. I've no way of knowing if the manager in reference is still the manager of the Nashville location, as I learned of this info about 2 months ago, and 2. This isn't a "Oh I heard he smokes pot" sort of thing but a verified hard drug using and pushing (on the underage employees, no less) drug user. So yeah....hate to be the downer, but tread carefully. posted by lazaruslong at 8:51 PM on June 15, 2007
I'm the blogger referenced in the post. I liked the entire WW experience the first time I visited, so I decided on my own to tackle the entire menu. I had no idea they were going to stamp the bags until I saw it this past Monday. After that, the owner asked if I was cool with it and I said I was. Why wouldn't I be? I eat at the Cool Springs location. There is a location in downtown Nashville as referenced by lazaruslong, but I've never been there. Most of the sandwiches are good and they "get" blogging. That's all I know. Thanks. posted by pourout at 9:29 PM on June 15, 2007 [1 favorite]

Just wanted to add I'm happy for you that the Cool Springs location is so cool about these interwebs. It's a great opportunity and you're a lucky blogger!
And Britney, it's actually in the Village if I recall correctly, if you're looking to score some poison. posted by lazaruslong at 8:12 AM on June 16, 2007
