I think he's taken acting lessons from William Shatner. That's choreographed very similarly to the bit where the evil Kirk appears on the transporter pad in The Enemy Within (see YouTube synopsis, 40 seconds in). posted by raygirvan at 7:16 PM on June 20, 2007 [3 favorites]

The chipmunk turns about a second or two too early. It is very disappointing. The drama of the scene would have reached a near boiling point before the turn if the chipmunk could have just held off a bit longer. I am not sure if I should be blaming the writer, director, or chipmunk here, but my gut goes with the director. posted by flarbuse at 7:54 PM on June 20, 2007 [21 favorites]

That is really old. By old, I mean old in internet time. Days, maybe weeks. I've been seeing the animated gif of evil little bastard so often in the past few weeks that it's starting to grate on me already. But then I pull the stick out of my ass and go wooyeah!
Because I'm so goddamn au cou-fucking-rant.
Here's the gif, in case you want to tile it on yer desktop or something.
I've been seeing it for weeks too, that was my first "whaa?" thought when I saw the post. But now after reading the thread I figure that since I guess not everyone has seen it, it's a good thing that someone brought attention to it. Because that prairie dog can turn around and stare at me a thousand times & I'll never cease to laugh. The prairie dog joy needed to be passed on. Missing out on it would be criminal, I say. posted by miss lynnster at 7:51 AM on June 21, 2007

The Card Cheat, I am almost certain that video takes place at the shittiest event in the Central Virginia area, Foxfield Races. Apparently it's an event for getting dangerously drunk that masquerades as a horse race.

She probably did make the prairie dog's ears bleed. 'That noise' may be my favorite part of this whole tale...but, she sure doesn't sound like a prairie dog. posted by taosbat at 10:19 AM on June 22, 2007
The dramatic prairie dog makes it to Carson Daly (as does the Rickroll, coincidentally, and unfortunately).
