This post was deleted for the following reason: This is just a press-release-as-news blurb and a pharma-camper prospectus. Not a great post. -- cortex

That was supposed to be:

ejactulation disorder vs. hair

Just kidding. Its a pretty small percent. And they're "mild and transient." Hmm one can have hope.

I'm sure I'm not alone when I say that, as a woman, I find men who reach for the clippers when they start to go bald far sexier than the ones who try various ways to disguise it.

We can always tell. Trust me on this, we know. That wig looks like a dead guinea pig. Those plugs all in neat little rows look like doll hair. We can see where the combover begins and ends. It looks stupid. Don't do it.

And decreased libido, impotence and moobs is far too high a price to pay for hair. It's a small percentage, true, but it might be you who's the unlucky one.

Embrace your inner baldie.

When they say "hair growth was actively improved", do they mean hair grew where none had before, or simply that the existing hair grew faster? Because the latter would be pretty anticlimactic.

Although judging by the side-effects, anticlimactic is an accurate description...

This is the failure of market-based medicine. Baldness is not life threatening, but significant sums are invested in medical research to find a "cure" because there is money to be made in vanity. In terms of public health goals, however, "curing" baldness has got to be among the least important areas for medical research.

Important for who? It's apparently pretty important for bald men.

At dawn I sighed to see my hairs fall;
At dusk I sighed to see my hairs fall.
For dreaded the time when the last lock should go…
They are all gone and I do not mind at all!
I have done with that cumbrous washing and getting dry;
My tiresome comb for ever is laid aside.
Best of all, when the weather is hot and wet,
To have no top-knot weighing down on one’s head!
I put aside my messy cloth wrap;
I have got rid of my dusty tasselled fringe.
In a silver jar I have stored a cold stream.
On my bald pate I trickle a ladle full.
Like one baptised with the Water of Buddha’s Law,
I sit and receive this cool, cleansing joy.
Now I know why the priest who seeks Repose
Frees his heart by first shaving his head.

Bald is the new hairy.

My hair is thinning and receding, and has been for the last 10 years. It's also continually getting grayer. But I'm 46 frickin' years old! I have worked hard to have thinning and graying hair! Why would I hide it?

Deliberate bald is a common style choice, so it doesn't strike people as unusual any more. And you can always use the Howie Mandel reason: OCD.

The most effective way to look youthful is to exercise and maintain a healthy weight.

"What happens if I overdose?

* Seek emergency medical attention.
* Symptoms of a dutasteride overdose are not known.

I'm bald, and while I've made peace with it, I have to admit that I wouldn't turn down the opportunity to get my hair back. However, do they really expect us to take such severe drugs just for hair? Vanity is one mean bitch.

I'm gonna grow a pompadour when I get my hair back.

Why does it not suprise me that you completely miss the word "public"?
