I got a C&D from DC once. I should scan that shit in.

[this is great]

That's the most adorable thing I've seen in forever. I wish DC have the foresight to either leave it up or publish it themselves. It reminds me of Calvin and Hobbes, not just in art but also in how it can tug at the heart strings, "he misses" particularly.

I like how he's not particularly cute, but still manages to be... well, sort of cute.

So, we're all in agreement? No one tell DC and it should all be cool.

Gawd... how soon people forget!

Oh, this guy is just fantastic.

DC, please don't sue him. Offer him a book deal or something. A Little Batman Elseworld would be pretty much the greatest thing ever. Or at least a Bat-Mite one-shot.

L'il Penguin says, "Waugh!" That cracks me up, for some reason.

i think a nsfw tag should apply to things that will make us laugh. i'm supposed to be working right now, if i laugh or smile it's pretty obvious i'm not fixing some wireless issue.

You skipped the Rogues' Gallery and the Other Rogues' Gallery. I love how he says that it's the END of the Little Batman thing.

Batman x Calvin? When I show this to my 6-year-old son, he will think it's the coolest thing ever.

mkb, Thanks for pointing that out. I somehow totally missed the Rogues.

He's OK, but he's no Batboy and Rubin.

Oh, and he just posted a new one!

From now on, whenever someone acts up on mefi, I'm going to figure out some way to internet-wise smack them with a rolled up newspaper and say "quit it!" and then tell them it's okay, because they're just tired and we'll get them a nap.

These are great. Thanks! It reminds me also of Calvin and Hobbes, the greatest comic of all time.

"You're just tired."
"I also ate some people."
"I like bats."

....Awww. This is wonderful.

He's a fan of Harry Potter. That's hilarious.

"I like bats."

That reminds me; there was a little article in the Oregonian the other day about the "I like turtles" kid (he's a local), the gist of which is that he got a lot of attention and no money out of the brouhaha, and is not going as a zombie for Halloween thank you very much.

The little batman tag is a easy way to see them all (spread across three pages).

People keep talking about the Calvin and Hobbes kind of feel to this, and I wholeheartedly agree -- it's what impresses me most about all this guy's drawings. The inking has this incredible spontaneous liveliness to it that make me feel like I'm getting sucked into a gleefully anarchic game of Calvinball (and of course, the joyous wide-eyed nature of the characters and writing only further that feel).

A friend of mine once tried to describe the way the television set in Calvin and Hobbes looked. "It's always kinda 'pumpin', you know?" Which is as good a way to describe the aesthetic as anything; each black line looks like life is actively coursing through it.

God, this guy is good. I can't say enough wonderful things about these strips.

One of the comments on the site refers to an image described as "little batman writes a book report" -- I'd love to see this but can't find it on the site. Did I miss it?

sevenyearlurk, it's not so much little batman as regular batman, but here it is.
