Name the guy in your FPP for f***k's sake. posted by autodidact at 3:26 AM on December 6, 2007
I don't know that you'll be awarded any karma points for making an obit post about a guy with the only apparent goal of making it clear that no one should care anyway, but...
Is it post your favorite obscure obituary week? posted by arnold at 5:29 AM on December 6, 2007
And the red head in the 5th link is teh hawt.
The cheesecake in BTVotD is, well, it can only be described as epic.
BTVotD is also the most tasteful movie ever made. A character leaps to his or her death, so Meyer superimposes the sound of a diving Stuka over it. Class-y, as only Russ Meyer can bring you.
(it's really a weird, blippy movie that's well worth watching just for that reason) posted by ROU_Xenophobe at 7:06 AM on December 6, 2007

Don't forget the abortion scene followed by a jump cut to pouring pancake batter. posted by jonp72 at 7:22 AM on December 6, 2007

Wow, so only Notable and Esteemed Worthies Who Kick the Bucket deserve a FPP? What is this, the Times of London? Even they let their hair down recently and published Evel Knievel's obit (complete with appropriately stuffy references to his being "an amalgam of resilience and weakness"). posted by blucevalo at 9:15 AM on December 6, 2007
Personallly, I'm glad this was posted. One my favorite movies ever...
In college we had a good drinking games that we companioned with each Russ Meyer movie. With Beyond the Valley of The Dolls every time a charachter took a pill you ate a tick tack and washed it down with a shot of Tequila. posted by tkchrist at 9:44 AM on December 6, 2007
Jungle Lad wrote the screenplay for Turner & Hooch! I did not know that. Wild weird stuff. posted by jonp72 at 10:06 AM on December 6, 2007

Well, the line has to be drawn somewhere, doesn't it? I mean, unless you want to see tens (or even hundreds) of thousands of obituary posts every day, you have to say that some deaths are worthy of a post to metafilter, and others, not.
I mean, maybe you do want that-- maybe you ARE that obsessed with the recently deceased-- but, if so, you should probably hang out at this site instead of at Metafilter. posted by dersins at 10:40 AM on December 6, 2007
He gave a great performance in that movie. Lance Rocke RIP posted by cell divide at 10:47 AM on December 6, 2007
