I used to play a lot of pool. So I dig it. Thanks!

The follow-up Chap Hai is a lot of fun as well. I'm currently stalled on level 11.

Dangit, it has no chance of getting me fired because the site is blocked. I did play it at 4:30 this morning before leaving for work though. I nearly called in sick in order to keep playing.
But I can quit anytime I want.

Do you mean vs. the computer or is there a way to play other humans? If the latter, how?

I'm confused. Am I playing another person or the flash program?

Does anybody know how it decides how many points to award? Is it based on how many times any one ball hit other balls or how close you are to the original starting point or the center/edge of the board or what? It seems random.

Nevermind. Seems to be multiples based on the rounds won, and then they double the points for each remaining ball or something like that.

After 4 games it seems pretty impossible. It figures out that it can reliably knock off 2 starters from the first go. Even if I can knock down 4, it's still up with scattered pieces. Maybe with some true eipool ninjitsu...

No, no, it's quite winnable! On my first shots I can pretty consistently knock 3 balls off, sometimes 4. In my 4:30 am session, I lost the first 2 or 3 games, then won several in a row, then traded wins and losses pretty evenly. On your first turn, use maximum power and aim one of your close-to-the-end balls between the 2nd and 3rd opponent ball. You'll get at least 2 off the table, and probably 3. Also, learn deflect off one ball to get another. You can knock off 2 balls palced far apart with a single shot.
And then, you should... oh crap I am way too much into this.

The part I find inconsistent is that if my last ball goes over the edge after knocking down the computer's last ball, I get a point - but if its last ball goes over after knocking my last ball down, I get the point. Not sure why. Great game though.

I was about the same when I had to stop (to go to work, heh). My opening salvo technique is different than The Deej's though. I use maximum power on a middle ball and go as straight up the middle as possible, but aiming between two of the computer's balls. This consistently gets 3 or 4 of the opponent's balls off the table, and I can usually keep mine in play. My reasoning is based on dividing my balls up so opponent can't hit a bunch in one go. Also, it's mostly luck when this happens, but if you find you're going to be outnumbered 2 to 1 and can get your last ball between the computer's 2 it will hit your ball into it's other ball.

I found playing the Chap Hai version linked above is excellent practice for lining up shots and angles.

I don't really see the addiction. Won 12 rounds and 3 games, and stopped at 39000 odd points.
My technique was to flank the enemy by knocking off his end two balls with minimum power so my ball stalled in line with his, he usually didn't shoot that one off, which would mean I could then fire along his line, scattering his ass to the four corners. It didn't always work - if I didn't get enough of his balls off the board, they were then well scattered, leaving me pretty vulnerable - but it worked well enough.

Yeah, I discovered that later too, but I still can't consistently keep my ball in play. But even sacrificing it works out.
Alas, even with that, I can't even come close to my high score again.

Took me a while to figure this out, but you've gotta lose a few rounds to pump the score up.
