So RedTube is the porno version of YouTube and BluTube is the cop version of YouTube. Which would get the cop porn? posted by birdherder at 5:42 PM on February 6, 2008
They modeled their video format on YouTube so everyone's face would come out pixelated. posted by Tube at 6:22 PM on February 6, 2008 [4 favorites has favorites]
Man, it's been a long time since some random video link made me laugh out loud like that. His completely matter of fact response makes it. posted by phrontist at 7:22 PM on February 6, 2008

There are already plenty of videos on YouTube of cops torturing people with tasers. posted by Pope Guilty at 7:55 PM on February 6, 2008
I am so embarrassed for that cop right now. posted by Locative at 9:03 PM on February 6, 2008
While I roared with laughter with the frisking, it's interesting to see what new weapons the cops will be using, like a flashlight incapacitator now being used because of "300 deaths over the past few years" due to tasers. posted by nickyskye at 9:25 PM on February 6, 2008 [2 favorites has favorites]

On the last link, at least the cop apologizes (twice); I don't have the impression that he is a sadistic authoritarian at all. posted by taz at 3:12 AM on February 7, 2008 [1 favorite has favorites]

not that anybody introduced the idea of sadistic authoritarians! I think my comment was just mostly in comparison to the Hope Steffey video post. posted by taz at 3:42 AM on February 7, 2008

Interesting that the news item on the LED incapacitator chose some less-than-encouraging footage of other "less-lethal weapons" for the lead-in: "rubber bullets" seemed to be accompanied by footage from the LA immigration rally that was attacked without provocation last year; the "TASER" clip was clearly Vancouver RCMP killing Robert Dziekanski; and for pepper spray, well, it really did just look like a cop spraying someone who didn't appear to be doing a damn thing. I wonder if they were chosen for that reason?
At any rate, I'm certain that they will use their new vomit flashlight in the responsible, respectful and restrained manner we've come to expect from all our peace officers. posted by regicide is good for you at 9:42 AM on February 7, 2008
