Attention drummers! Want to take all the attention away from the rest of the band... then just watch this masterclass. (SLYT)

Never thought I'd see the Korean Keith Moon, but hey.

He has been studying his complicated drumming technique.

Keith Myung Moon?

Great stache on the guitar player, too.

Please remove the batshitinsane tag. This drummer is the most sane man on the planet. He is on his raddest and baddest behavior and those who do not emulate him are truly insane.

I'm going to forward this to the drummer in my Rock Band rock band in hopes he picks up some useful techniques.

Great. Now we've all been drumrolled.

This just shows how the internet can bring great big piles of awesomeness right to your desktop.

I was thinking the same thing, mr_crash_davis; this is worse than getting rickrolled, because I waited for 3 minutes, to see some bit of "masterclass." Needless to say, Buddy Rich I didn't get.

Now there was a stick man who could, and did, steal a show.

I have a new aspiration.

I want to marry that little drumming dynamo, and adopt his toupee.

If you didn't notice the drummer, you must be blind.

I want you to watch this video and count how many times the singer passes the microphone from hand to hand.

The drummer's so happy. Made my day.

I imagine the rest of the band talking to the drummer after the show sounded a lot like this.

As far as I'm concerned no one's topped this.

Niteowl now has an answer to where this goes, I suppose.

the drummer's headbanging really makes me wonder how big his hair truly is (or is it how small his head is?)

this is a more appropriate animal link :-)

Though I like this post, as self-appointed keeper of the batshitinsane tag - this isn't that. The dude's just happy, not crazy.

The batshitinsane tag should be used sparingly. Avoid dilution. Use full strength.

Now, if he'd been wearing a turkey suit and playing drums made out of fire with turkey drumsticks as, well, drumsticks and singing about the breast health of poodles - you'd be approaching batshitinsane territory.

Heh ... that kinda reminded me of my own drumming at my band's shows. Though our singer's loud and obnoxious enough for it to be virtually impossible to steal the show from him.

Is it any wonder that the acronym 'SLYT' both resembles the word 'slight' and 'slut'. 'Slight' implies there's not much substance, while 'slut' implies it's both cheap and fun. That said, this link was the perfect one to send to my drummer to pump him up for heading into the studio this weekend. Bravo.

Not sure where this goes....

FWIW

I was just sitting here in the foulest of foul foulest moods, ready to rip someone's head off.

That made me smile, and brought me right out of it.

Not sure what part of rock/americana etc that guy caught and thinks is cool. Maybe they just got Night Flight in Korea.

OK. Thanks for that, now back to hatin...

I feel it beating in my bones
It feels like twenty million tomtoms
I know there's twenty million tomtoms
Beating way down deep inside my bones
...
Beat out that rhythm on a drum
And I don't need to tune at all!

I sent it to bandmates, too. It was very appropriate in our case.

I imagine the rest of the band talking to the drummer after the show sounded a lot like this .

Now that would've been a good FPP. As for this one, I kept waiting for the hilariousness, and then the video ended. The drummer makes funny faces and speeds up a lot. I'm not usually one to post "meh" comments, but this one had me expecting something more interesting.

Please remove the batshitinsane tag.

Replace with batshitgenius. I saw this a while ago and thought it was great.

Better = subjective. I put what I meant to put - an intro to Animal.

Now, if I'd been trying to be all little miss pertinent and such, I would have linked to this one, but I thought it was too obvious.

Is the Guitarist former Philippines president Joseph Estrada?

Looks like him

There's no way the band doesn't know he's doing that.

Just a matter of time before he's remixed into a Beatles video/found and co-opted for more intentional, but less funny humor.
