Won't anyone help the children...

Can you Molest a Child? But how??? This guy can, and so can these (caution, footage should not be watched by kids, and parents should be advised), and no one even knew about it. Even those living right next to him... ?

I can't get my mind across what sort of a man would do this... insane, yes... but evil. Definitely, more so!

This post was deleted for the following reason: There is nothing new here (Fritzl has been covered before) and reads too much like a blog post -- vacapinta

This isn't your soapbox nor your grindstone.

Your axe is apparently sharp enough. Go volunteer somewhere productive and make a real difference in your own monkeysphere.

Hadjiboy, you make great posts sometimes, but I think this is of the "put it on your blog" variety.

What, a PSA video from the 60s, produced by the same people that made driver's ed videos? It was intended to be watched by kids. 40 years ago.

What is the point of this post? Some links to stories about Josef Fritzl (who is really old news at this point) and some generic crap from a Google search for "child molestation"? Have you ever made a post that didn't get deleted?

It is sickening that this man imprisoned his own 18 year old daughter as a sex slave, and he raped and murdered a 17 year old, but what does this have to do with pedophilia? Your second link defines pedophilia as involving pre-pubescent children. Psychologists define pedophilia as involving prepubescent children, law enforcement define it as involving someone below the age of consent (18 in most of the US where I live). Both of these girls were above the age of consent, as far as a know. Not to minimize what happened here at all, but there is no need to mix up our sources of outrage. The things he did would not be less criminal, or less obscene, if the victims were 30 years old. Am I missing some connection, detail, or background info here?

My inner child would like to complain about this dodgy post. So would my outer adult, come to think of it...

Can you Molest a Child? But how???

At first I thought this was a post about a flash game.

DecemberBoy, they say that the video was taken off the air, apparently because it wasn't meant for small kids, I don't know.

And idiopath, weren't they all kids at a time, stuck in that cage, and wouldn't it be considered as pedophilia what he did to them.

loquacious, I'm sorry, but my computer is working too slowly for the second link to work, and the I've just started on the first one--you learn something new every day I guess...

This could have been a good post delving into the causes, detection, and treatment of pedophilia. As it is, it's a confused mess.

This post is so ridiculously preachy that I am going to go molest a child. I hope you are happy.

I thought this was going to be a shill for a Child Molestation Kit. In it you get a ball, a dollie, some candy, a mustache, and a van.

I wish I could buy the world a netbook.

hadjiboy, I'm not snarking in that first comment, just being a bit direct, if brusque. This is not a good post. Tell me about food or something. Tell me about festivals and joy and happy shiny distracting shit. The world is dark enough. While we discuss plenty of bad news here on metafilter... do we need more darkness cast with such a wide net?
